My Story

So you want to know about Brian Dreiling. I just moved to Richland, Washington from a seven year stay in Colorado Springs. I was born in Huntington Beach, California, and grew up around the beach most of my life. I love the beach. The smells of sand, foaming ocean, and sunscreen are intoxicating and always remind me of home. I also love real seasons and rain and snow, something unusual for the typical southern Californian. I cook and enjoy eating fantastic foods. Music also plays a big part in my life as running theme music and mood tailor.

My background is in graphic design and I have run my own business full-time for the last nine years. I have two wonderful children, Jacob and Julianne. In 2007, Jacob was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and his mother and I self-diagnosed myself as an Aspie, too. This discovery was altogether overwhelming and a relief, as I finally had a reason for everything I experienced and felt growing up. I am a divorcee, and due to all the life changes surrounding my wife leaving me, I moved to Washington to get on my feet with the help of my long-time friend Justin. He is lovingly leading me through a Lifeplan™ which is opening my eyes to so much about myself and prepping me for what my future has for me.

I decided to start writing this blog for many reasons including, but not limited to, my Asperger experiences, therapy, and help for other single dads and single guys. But, while I write that, I am reminded about my atypical grasp of women… I foresee this blog being useful to many types of readers.

So that being said, enjoy my blog.
